SACRAMENTO (AP) Students at Cosumnes River College currently find it difficult to locate multiple resources.

From counseling, financial aid and admissions, all departments are currently divided into different buildings across campus. Which makes it harder for students to have quick access to all services.

A construction project aimed at making navigation around campus easier for CRC students is expected to be complete by December of 2019.

Christopher Raines who's the Interim Director at CRC, mentioned that first time students coming onto campus will enjoy a positive experience.

"Starting off in the right direction for students will help them find all of their sources in the main building to succeed at the college center," said Raines.

The project was planned by staff of the various departments that will be moving into the new building like counselors, financial aid staff, and admissions.

Reporters tried reaching Otto Construction company by phone to schedule a tour, but have not heard back.

How much did the project cost?

Raines said in an email that the construction costs "$21 million-224 thousand."
