Original Story: South Sacramento- A 14-year-old girl has been missing from South Sacramento for over one week now after family say she decided to run away from her home late at night on January 21, 2024.
Chloe Newberry ran from her South Sacramento home at 10:20 pm on January 21, according to her parents, Elyssa and Chad Newberry. Her mom Elyssa, wrote in a Facebook post, "She has sent us 'I love you' texts but will not tell us where she is at. She is only 14." A friend of the family has come forward and thinks Chloe may have crossed state lines into the state of Nevada.
Elyssa stated, "We've contacted the police, her school, and all friends who we have numbers for. None of us are sleeping well. Constant fear mode."
Elyssa believes Chloe, "ran off with a boy named Matt somewhere in South Sacramento," but isn't "sure if that's accurate." A community member named Haley Ellis has informed the Sacramento community that Chloe, "Goes to West Park High School," which is located in Roseville. Haley mentioned that Chloe was last seen wearing, "black and red jammy flannel pants and a grey tank top. But her mom thinks she changed before leaving."
Elyssa's Facebook post has now been shared and viewed over 500 times while her minor-aged daughter Chloe has been missing for over one week and still isn't home yet, as of the first day of February. Elyssa asks that if you see Chloe, contact her via Facebook or contact your local authorities.
