CALLS OF SHOTS FIRED LEADS TO MURDER ARREST IN VACAVILLE

Early this morning just 2 hours after the arson structure fire, 3 a.m officers were then called by many residents of shots fired near the 400 block of Kentucky Street. When Vacaville PD arrived, they found the body of a 22 year old woman dead inside the garage of a home. A male suspect, 24 year old Gage Pontarelli of Vacaville, was contacted on scene and arrested for murder.

A good tip for everyone I have to share is just like every year around 4th of July people hear loud sounds and always call police thinking it's gun shots but officers then confirm it was fireworks. Try not to get too used to fireworks being the answer all the time as you see these residents called 911 and it actually was gun shots that also lead to an arrest. In other words, always call 911 for loud unusual sounds because you may not know when there's a real case for shots fired.
