VACAVILLE-An 2nd alarm residential fire was reported today around 4 p.m. in the 200 block of Plantation in Vacaville. Near-by residents were also evacuated. Dark smoke risen from the scene was spotted by many drivers and pedestrians including City Coach bus drivers. According to one witness named Christine of Solano County Community Awareness Group, the fire seems to have started in the garage before later extending into the home. "Fully involved garage. Possibly extended into house." Fire fighters from Dixon Fire-Department also came out to help Vacaville battle these flames. One person by the name of Makayla Adams of a popular Facebook group Vacaville Crime & Community Info also reported "There were 2 people inside sleeping but made it out safe." The family living here was a military family and now neighborhood schools are pitching in to help and give back to their heroes. One person by the name of Simone Jacobsen Reel of Solano County Community Awareness wrote "The kids go to Sierra Vista elementary. If anyone would like to help the three kids 8th boy, sixth girl and a pre-school boy. The school is collecting gift cards for this military family." Thankfully no one was hurt. No other homes or property were damaged. No word on what started this fire. The cause is still under investigation. Live in Vacaville tonight Robert Rincon, Roberts Daily Report News.
