At Vanden High School's Prom night, an event hosted with lots of nice dressed people, food, and dancing, there was also awards being given out and ticket raffles. Awards included things far as Best Couple to Best Dressed individual. One student we spoke with who was an everyday lonely student, who would normally just go to school for education purpose only and not like most teens searching for love all the time, as he is single. The student was enjoying himself at prom with no one to dance with, so he then heard the host of the event announce that it was time for students to vote for who they want to get each award, including being legally able to vote for himself once only, which he did. He then asked one near-by friend to vote for him too which his friend did too. That being said there's only two votes the student knew of himself, plus there was only one name put in already so in order to prevent a tie, he had two votes for him. So as the young man walked out to the center aisle to take photos, he heard that the crowd got silent as they were getting ready to announce the winners for each award, the teenage boy then heard his name be announced as the winner for BEST DRESSED award, not having enough time to go on stage and wave. He received his trophy outside, where he later took a photo on the red carpet, shared it in a Facebook group page with over 18,000 members called Vacaville Crime & Community Info, where he later exploded with 1,000 likes & reactions.
That being said, if you ever have a big raffle or award contest that you're interested in winning but involves lots of others going against you that makes it feel like you're going to lose automatic, it's always best to try first where you do have a slight chance of winning and possibly failing than to never try at all where you have no complete chance of winning. As you see this young man followed directions and voted before the deadline and got the victory, as those who didn't vote or listen got a complete loss. The boy was lastly proud and thankful as this was his first and only award in High-School.
